Facilities
Pools:
 | There is a large outdoor pool which can be used all
year round but it does get a bit nippy between October and April! There is a
Spa area within the pool at the shallow end. |
 | The solar and electrically heated indoor pool is suitable for all year
round use and it too has a small Spa area by the shallow end. |

 | You should be aware that no swimming costumes of any sort
are allowed either in the pool or the pool area itself. If you ignore this rule,
you can expect to get comments from other residents - be warned! |
Beach:
 | As you leave via the main
entrance to Torremar, cross the road and follow the path to the beach which
is directly ahead. It is about a 2 min. walk. Alternatively, turn left as
you leave, cross over and follow this road to the beach. There is an
extensive beach and it is largely naturist, with a "textile" bit
to your right as you face the sea, going towards Puerto Rey. |
Parque Aquatico (Non
Naturist):
 | As you come off the main road to get into
Torremar, there is a large aquatic park on your right with slides, flumes
etc. It is very popular in the summer season with visitors and locals. |
Bars:
 | There are several bars and some restaurants just outside the entrance to
Torremar. The Chirinquito bar on the beach (5 min.
walk) is naturist friendly inside and outside.
There are also several other bars and restaurants by the Vera Playa Hotel
and along the new seafront promenade, all of which are
within walking or staggering distance, dependent on what you are drinking. |
Other facilities:
 | If you don't mind driving, there are lots of other
bars, restaurants, shops and nightclubs along the front at Garrucha or
Mojacar. If you fancy a quieter, typically Spanish meal, try going inland to
some of the smaller villages up in the mountains. If you feel really
adventurous, go up towards Granada, through the Las Alpujarras region, made
famous by Chris Stewart in his books about a new family life in Spain. The
scenery is spectacular and a trip is well worth the effort. |
